Summary
This University of Utah trans-disciplinary think tank will explore the medical patient experience through a multi-perspective lens. It is a journey through the issues and complexity involved in providing an exceptional patient experience within a health care setting. During this hands-on research workshop, the students engaged in lectures, activities, exercises and projects that are grounded in trans-disciplinary thinking. The students will develop ideas on how to improve the experience and produce prototypes of their ideas. This is done with “design thinking” as the overall problem solving approach to bridge between the rational and quantitative and emotional and qualitative.
